How to enable my keyboard ???

Hi,

We have a linux machine in our network and Iam trying to access that from my
windows machine. I am able to telenet to that machine.

Inorder to open X-appications, I exported the display to my machine and started a X-server in my windows machine. And, then running the X-appications of Linux.
Everything is working fine except the keyboard. I can operate that X-appication from my machine (For example kate/kwrite or any) with the mouse. But Iam not able to type anything with my kayboard...

Now, My question is: How to enable my keyboard if DISPLAY is exported?? what sort of configuration is required for doing the same ??

Can any one help me in this regard ....

Thanks in advance..

Dileep

The easiest way of doing things on the server is to use a Linux based boot cd like Knoppix. Boot the cd and open konqueror and enter in the address line fish://<server-ip> and it will request the user and password enter root and the password. If you wish to transfer files then open konqueror as a file browser on the relevant drive and partition and drag and drop files from one browser to the other. Using this method doesn't require X at all.

Sorry,

My problem is not solved...
I want to run X-applications from my windows machine only.
And, I just need to enable my kayboard, everything else is working fine.

Thanks in advance,

Dileepkk
