How to dual boot?

I'm brand new to Linux, so bear with me. I want to dual boot. To boot either to XP or Linux. Here is my situation. I have Red Hat Linux 9 installed on my primary master and it boots up fine. however I have XP installed on my primary slave and I never see an option to boot to XP. What do I do to have my computer recognize that I can boot to XP? Thanks in advance.

you need to add an option to boot from that drive and OS in your lilo.conf or grub bootloader files, and rerun lilo, or reinstall grub to the MBR.

Im surprised your install didnt automatically recognize the windows partitions and OS when you first installed LILO or Grub.
If it had youd have an option to boot XP.

I dint have the Xp Drive intalled at the time I installed linux, so that's why I never had a chance to select it. Also, how do I change the bootloader config thing and how do I reinstall it? I am using GRUB bootloader.

If your XP was installed when the disk was on primary master or was the only drive, try adding something like this to /boot/grub/grub.conf (you need to be root to edit it)
title WinXP
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader +1
