Question How to download Debian Linux? I'm confused because it tells me that there are 50 cd's

Hi, I wanted to download Debian Linux "testing" Squeeze so I went to their download page http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/we...s/i386/iso-cd/

But there I found 52 cd's.
debian-testing-i386-CD-1.iso 30-Aug-2010 06:11 639M
debian-testing-i386-CD-2.iso 30-Aug-2010 06:11 645M
...............................52.iso

Does it mean that Debian Linux is 50 GB's large? Do I have to download all 52 cd's?
I don't understand...

I installed using the Network Install. Part comes from the CD and most comes from the Internet.

For a basic install, you generally just need the first CD. The rest of the CDs contain the rest of the repositories. If you have an active internet connection, you need not worry about anything past the first CD.

The cds and dvds contains the same pacakges (some computers don't have dvd drives).
All the Debian packages are crammed into these iso images.

What do you mean? Are you asking for a list of packages in each iso file? ...if so why?

Or are you looking for a list of Debian pacakges? If so you can start at:
http://packages.debian.org
