Unhappy How to disable the start of KDE/Gnome during boot

I have installed Redhat 9.0 on my PC through VMWare. But it is to slow, and the graphical part....

My new attemt is to have the Linux running in VMWare and WinAxe on the windows-pc to access Linux.

QUESTION: How do I avoid that Linux starts up using the graphic interface, but in console mode?
