How to disable startup programs
how do i disable startup programs in fedora 11.
actually pulseaudio sound system starts up every time i log in. It interferes with the vlc media player running on wine 1.1.13(compiled from source). i killed the pulse audio process, and every thing works fine, but i have to do it every time i log in |

System->Preferences->Sessions->Startup Programs Uncheck the Pulse Audio. Hopefully next time it will not start. |

If you really want to disable, I think you can disable all of them (one by one) and see what happens. I dont think they will screw your system badly. Only some things will stop working. You will be able to recover (i.e. start them again). (Disclaimer: I have not done this before so dont believe in my suggestion without caution) |
google the startup program see what you get. If you need it keep it if not disable it
