Sorry using short word...Windows Deployment Service

Okay, so what is Windows Deployment Service? We aren't really windows people here, and this seems like a windows question.

A glance at Wikipedia seems to indicate that Windows Deployment Services is a set of tools used to deploy various versions of Windows. It seems doubtful that it could be used to install Linux.

You might check out this link. Linux is not Windows.

If it's for windows only, it isn't for Linux. Right?

Hi,

Would this article help?

PXE and Kickstart, Automated Installations for Linux via WDS

Found it after searching the net, I don't have any experience with it myself (never heard of WDS before today).

It is absolute no problem to use WDS to deploy Linux.
Here is a tutorial how to do that with Ubuntu, I think it shouldn't be much different with Fedora.

By the way, I just googled for deploy linux with wds, and the first hit led me to that tutorial.

After searching a bit more, I also found this link for openSuse and this link for RHEL/CentOS/Fedora.

Hmmmph... Learn something new every day, I guess. Sad truth is, though, that I forget more than that.
