How to delete file on NTFS partition

I took an old Windows machine with two hard drives and converted it to Mandrake 10.0. When installing, I allowed Mandrake to format my old C: drive, but left the other one alone. As part of the installation process, Mandrake has mounted the second windows drive as /mnt/win_c2, but it's in read-only mode. I want to erase some (but not all) of the files on this drive and then repartition the freed-up space into a Linux-type partition (that is, non-NTFS). I think I'll be able to figure out how to use DrakeDisk to do the re-partitioning, but question now is:

How do I delete selected files on the NTFS drive (/mnt/win_c2).

Thanks. --Jeff

You could..

look at mounting that partition using captive instead of ntfsprogs.

You'd have to download and install captive.

a google for captive ntfs driver should get you some hits, I don't have the link readily available to me.
