how to create squid partition?

i need a little help on how to create a partition for caching that will be used by squid.

i will be indeed very glad.

Typically I use GParted (you can get a GParted Live CD here). It's a graphical program much like Partition Magic for windows.

but you could also use QTParted, fdisk (command line), or cfdisk (ncurses based).

yes i can create a partition but the issue now is how do i make it to be used by sqiud for caching web contents.
