How to create an encrypted pen drive?
 
Hello,

Is there an easy way to create an encrypted usb pen drive? I tried following a guide but I dont quite understand how it works (and it doesnt).

What guide are you following?

When you say pen drive, this is just the physical shape of it correct? Otherwise it really just shows up similarly as a USB thumb stick, correct or incorrect?

I'd use truecrypt to make an encrypted file container: http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/tutorial

You should be able to use truecrypt to make encrypted volumes or file containers on any removable, and rewritable media.

I would suggest LUKS.

I use it on my external drives, on a centos workstation.
