How to create a bootable CDROM?

I have downloaded an .iso (first .iso for linux installation), I burnt it to a CDROM. However, I found that it cannot be bootable. What step should be made in order to have it bootable? Many thanks.

Ignore if you have already done this:

Check your BIOS settings to see if you have enabled 'boot from cdrom'.

If you're not sure how to do this, reply.

I'm sure my BIOS has been set to boot from CDROM drive. This is because I have placed another bootable CDROM to the drive and it can boot from it.

i never used that program before but there should be an option to burn as a .ISO

if you just burn it, it will just burn as a regular file on the disc

if you burn it as a .ISO it will be bootable
