How to crash Linux?
Hi friends,
There is this guy in our office who has installed Linux on a desktop without permission. I have told him in a nice manner to remove it but he steadfastly refuses making up some BS that he needs it for his project. I know this is BS because he can complete the project using standard W2KPro installations and MSOffice. Our department head wants to let this pass until the project is finished so I am stuck. How can I destroy his PC by blasting it over the network? I think he is using Debian because I can see a penguin on the screen. The guy is belligerent, nerdy i.e. speaks a funny abbreviated dialect, spotty-faced with an awkward gait, and thinks he is the most computer literate person in the company, and he is not even in the IT department! He works relentlessy about 15hrs a day. I have no idea what he does in the evening (I am thinking of installing CCTV and finding out). I really want to take this guy out. Any ideas? Our company runs Windows 2000 network with Active Directory (LDAP for you Linux folks). I have posted the same question on the Windows boards but they refuse to help me take this guy out (I think they do not know how to do it but don't want to give away how dumb they really are). There must be a hole that I can exploit? Thanks for all your help. |

I could give you some hints to crash Windows 2000:

A few questions.
(1) Are you one of the administrators? Know your rights. (2) Is the PC the person uses a property of the company? Know your situation. (3) What does he do with the LINUX PC? Is that against the company's policy? Know the enemy. (4) Did you hate LINUX? Know what you are asking. :S PS: I'm just a student who the administrator dislikes most. Can't help much. |

You are violating the rules of this forum, but even if this wasn't a problem, what exactly do you expect as to do? Help you take out a guy we respect a lot more than you? I think he is using Debian because I can see a penguin on the screen. I thing the whole forum is laughing at you. This is the most stupid thing I have heard this month. |
How about we all stay out of this thread, please. It has been reported and it will be closed.
We do not give advice on this sort of thing. |

Or perhaps you should just get a life and get back to work you unproductive soul you.. worry about your own work! I like feeding the trolls at times, its fun. |
Here's a thought. How about you do your job, let him do his, and mind your own business?
If I were your boss and knew about you asking this sort of question with the intent of disrupting the work of a co-worker you'd be in the unemployment line so fast you wouldn't know what hit you. |
Can a moderator lock/close this thread. I don't think its necessary for us to even respond to this.
