OK folks;

I think we can wrap up our critique of a fellow member and proceed with helping (or NOT helping, as you choose). Obviously, the appropriate response to any particular post is always welcome.

But will you try what we say, apply common sense, and post your results here?

Anyway, VirtualBox has "Guest Additions" that can be installed on the guest OS to help integrate it with the host OS.

I'm pretty sure VMware should have something equivalent, and according to previous posts it's called "VMware Tools". Remember, you install it in the guest OS, NOT the host OS.

meandsushil;

1. Watch the language.

2. You have previously been advised to respond to people's inputs and to incorporate them in your follow-up questions. By contrast, you should NOT just keep repeating the question.

Please summarize what you have done with advice already given on this problem.

Hello,

If I understand your post correctly you did install Linux in a virtual machine that runs on Windows XP, right? Did you read the link I posted in post #20? That explains in very easy terms how to install the VMWare tools in a Linux guest operating system. If you want to, we can go through it step by step if you tell me what you have tried and where it has gone wrong.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hello meandsushil,

Can you please let us know if you were able to get what you want? In other words, is your problem solved or still pending a solution? If it's solved please mark this thread as solved using the Thread tools. If it's not yet working please let us know what's failing.

Kind regards,

To install VMware Tools in Linux:
Start your VM, go to VM menu, Install VM tools. That should mount an ISO as a CDROM.
In Linux, mount the cdrom, copy, extract and install tools.
A complete walk through is available on the net...just ask uncle google.

PS: As others mentioned, try to be specific when describing a problem...
