iam using vmware on windows xp how can i copy files from vmware to pc plz help urgent.

Set up a shared directory. I've never used VMWare, only VirtualBox, so I don't know how you do this, but it should be possible. Have a look at the manual.

Install the VMware tools on the guest OS. Now you can drag and drop files from the VM to the host OS.

i downloaded the tools from torrent but i am not able to install them manually

First, this isn't "urgent" for ANYONE here...it's pretty rude to flag your posts as such, then top it off with text-speak garbage.

You say you got the tools, but "am not able" to install them. Maybe if you bothered to actually TELL US what the error(s) were, we could help. If it were me, though, I'd just set up a simple FTP server in my Linux guest, then hit it from Windows with an FTP client, and get the files that way. Quick and simple...plenty of tutorials you can find via Google on how to set it up. Again, you provide no details (like version/distro of Linux you're using, number/size of the files, etc.). You could also try to plug in a USB thumbdrive, and see if it is visible to the guest.
