Different applications for this are available in different window managers. My favorite is K3B in the KDE system. What window manager are you using?

I tried with k3b but I can't do anything with the iso it created. I try mount -o loop -t iso9660 blah.iso /mnt/iso but then it tells me it's the wrong file system bad superblock on loop0. I tried to open it with xmms and amarok but nothing happens.

Forget about creating an ISO image. Extract the music to individual files.

K3B has a function to rip audio CDs. There's also a simpler KDE program especially for this task, it's called audex.

If you want to create an identical audio CD, use the "copy" function of K3B. You cannot mount a normal audio CD, neither the original nor the copy. But the copy will be playable in a normal CD player.

The problem with that is then I can't get the track info and it will just be 1.ogg 2.ogg etc. I can't connect to the internet with my laptop.

As far as I know you will have to rename the files by hand once they are on your disk drive.

Use cdrdao to make an exact copy of an audio cd or to extract a .bin and .cue. Note that you CANNOT mount an audio CD, it has no filesystem, and no you can't create a .iso out of it because iso = iso9660 = filesystem.
