How To Connect Using Modem

I have RED HAT 9.0 , what i wanted to ask that i have installed the modem driver but now i want to ask that how can i connect to the net using kppp and also how to configure my country and what is ppp


ALSO TELL ME HOW TO USE MINICOM

can anyone tell me how to edit the file somewhat named /etc/resolve.conf I mean I WANT TO CONNENCT but how please tell me step by step
