Question How to connect to the internet, ANY more PARTITIONS?

Hello

I have a 10 GB hard disk. Earlier I was running Windows ONLY. I created two partitions 6.5G(WINDOWS) and 3.5(LINUX) and then installed RH linux 7.2. I am a NEWBIE to LINUX.

My allocations were

Swap Partition - 256MB (I have a 128 MB RAM)
/boot partition - 50 MB
root (/) - remaining space

Are these partitions enough or should I have more partitions such as /home etc. ( I do not know why u must have /home or /usr).

I am able to connect to the internet on Windows. I have an external Modem. I do not know how to connect to the internet on LINUX. I also want to know what MOZILLA is?

Do reply.

the partitions are absolutely fine. thinsg like /home and /usr are just handy additions if you are aware of how space is divided. e.g i have a seperate /home partitino and then use the SAME partition when i boot into mandrake, gentoo and even freebsd.

Mozilla is a very fine browser. It is also an e-mail client, if you choose to do so, and you can use it for editing html. But it is primarily a browser.

Did you install a desktop such as KDE or Gnome when you installed RH 7.2? Either KDE or Gnome will have configuration tools for connecting to the internet, much like a dial-up configurator in Windoze.
