How to connect to the internet?

I've trawled through a couple of pages of search results but still can't find the answer.

I have Suse Linux Live 10. I just want to know how I connect to the net. Please tell me what buttons to press, what options to choose.

TIA

Look in SAX menus. Sax helps configure networks, wireless, internet, modem, and makes a mean grilled cheese sandwich(LOL). If Suse still has a manual or setup guide that will help too. You have to setup the modem with SAX then setup the connection to your provider(and your provider issued username and pw) with SAX.
Look for kppp or wvdial or similar program in KDE menu too. Setup/configuration may be a little more involved if you are using modem on a network. Good luck:). Ask again if you still have trouble.

What is you configuration?---eg DSL, cable, phone modem, router, etc.

Are other computers there connected and working?

Depending on how you install (or start) Linux, the internet connection can be pretty much automatic.
