Unhappy How to connect to internet using mobile?

hi guys,
How do i connect to internet using my mobile in opensuse 10.3 and fedora 7.
I use a nokia 6600 handset and i'm able to connect to internet through windows but i'm not able to connect to it in opensuse nor fedora. I have installed nokia pc suite that comes with opensuse dvd. But its not detecting my phone at all. I use usb cable to connect. If anyone out there who knows the procedure please help me.
I'm using a AMD dual core 2.0ghz and Intel dual core 2.4ghz pc.
Thanks in advance.

When you plug it in, run dmesg and post the output here?

Things to look for are ppp support which should be standard in Suse and Fedora 7.
