hi, i 've trouble connecting to the school network thru vpn.

and it's compulsory for me to as that is only way to access my student files & lecturer notes.

one thing to note is that i've no problem accessing the non-vpn school web pages. also my school is a wireless enviroment.

can anyone advise on how to go about solving the problem?

Well, what is the problem? WHY is it that you can't connect through vpn? What errors, issue etc.. do you get.

you see when i'm using my win xp after i connect to my school wireless network, i still need to run an application (with user name & password) in order connect to the school vpn for student.

however if i run on fedora core 1 after i type in the school url in mozilla, i can get access only to website that are not-vpn-ed.

but i have no problem surfing from public hotspot with mozilla.

also another problem is that i need to log in as root in order to surf the net, i just cannot do so in my user mode.

so how do solve the above 2 problem?
