I am using fedora 15 and I am able to get my phone connected as it is showing connection established.When I run wvdial after proper settings,its message on terminal is this
[abhijeet@Illuminati ~]$ sudo wvdial [sudo] password for abhijeet: --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61 --> Cannot get information for serial port. --> Initializing modem. --> Sending: ATZ ATZ OK --> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 OK --> Sending: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET" AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET" OK --> Modem initialized. --> Sending: ATDT*99***1# --> Waiting for carrier. Any suggestions??? |
my /etc/resolv.conf file reads like this
# Generated by NetworkManager search localdomain # No nameservers found; try putting DNS servers into your # ifcfg files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts like so: # DNS1=121.242.190.181 DNS2=121.242.190.210 DOMAIN=lab.foo.com bar.foo.com |

First link, read post #8. Second link, start reading at "wvdial" Third link, try any of the GUI based network managers mentioned, or even the one you have in your Gnome desktop, like Gnokii, or right-clicking the network manager icon, and set up a new dial-up connection. |
