how to connect internet through 56 kbps modem
hello friends,
i m very much new in RedHat Linux 9, I m using WinXP SP2 since long time n i m very good in all windows OSs. I just install RH L 9 in my computer. I made dual bootable now winxp and linux. I have configer my 56 kbps model in linux but now i dont know how to connect it with internet in surfing on net. I m using grome environment. Pls help me n guide me in this as I want to surf on net by linux.

Please don't use Red Hat 9 -- it is about 4 years old and completely unsupported. You're really better off downloading or ordering of a cheap CD of something more modern -- I would suggest maybe the latest release of Fedora or Ubuntu. They'll have nicer tools for setting your modem up, too.
Also, please post what kind of modem you have as it will help us help you.

I suggest you to get newest ubuntu version by shipit.

it usually delivers in 2 or 3 weeks, although it is said to take 4-6 weeks.
