How to connect a network printer with Linux Mandriva 2010?
 

I can't connect to a network printer. I can't even detect it.

By the way I am new to this forum. I'm Jhazz...

Have you tried to ping the printer? From a konsole, the command would be 'ping ipaddressoftheprinter' If any other systems can communicate with it, the ping should work. If it does not, you have a network problem. If it does work, have you got cups installed and configured to talk to the printer?

could you please provide more information, which printer, make and model? do you know the ip-adress or the printer? what did you do when you tried to connect to the printer?
