Install CUPS and go to http://localhost:631. Go to Administration -> Find New Printers, and some should be autodetected. If not, you can add one manually easily enough.

Because i am working as a DBA i dont know this topic.
what jhwilliams meant is use your web browser -- Firefox, Mozilla or Konqueror -- to access printer configuration. Copy and paste the URL he provided into your browser navigation and hit Enter.

What is a "DBA" in this context and how is it relevant?
What distro (version) of Linux are you using?
Is CUPS installed and running? To check, enter "ps -e | grep cups" in a terminal. If nothing is found, use your package manager to see if it is installed.
