how to configure fbdesk?Hi,

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed fbdesk to put icons on my fluxbox, but I can't figure it out!

How do I get it to start up with fluxbox and how do I configure it?
the readme gives info on the configuration, but doesn't say where fbdesk reads that config from. So am I supposed to create a file with that info, and if so how to call it and where to put it?

I can't find info on this anywhere, so I must be the only one having problems with this which is making me feel quite stupid

Just a reply to put it back on top for a second change since I still haven't been able to figure it out myself...

If you still need help. Create an executeable file, e g.

~/.fluxbox/startup

in the ~/.fluxbox/startup file you then add

fbdesk

and again, don't forget to make ~/.fluxbox/startup executeable.
Then call the startup file from

~/.fluxbox/init

by adding

session.screen0.rootCommand ~/.fluxbox/startup

to the file.

Thanks, I was beginning to think to either this was such a simple thing to do -and this questions thus such a stupid one- that nobody would find it worth answering or that nobody knew the answer and that those how got it working simply weren't on this forum.
