You didn't specify what kind of bluetooth device you want to setup, so this guide migth not be the rigth one for you. If it isn't, try to google for å more appropriate one.

Anyway, I found this guide on the gentoo forums, which may be useful. You probably don't need to do anything about your kernel, however.
