I thought you said in your previous post that you were using Bactrack??! If using Ubuntu, the following command should get you what you need:
Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` linux-headers-generic
As I said earlier, I'm really not sure that you can access your wireless card directly from inside the VM. Did you set up any networking to the VM guest via VMWare?

in order to get help it is often best to give the outputs of
uname -a
and in the case of hardware issues
lspci | grep "your device's name"
in this case, since your device is a Realtek usb card- respond with
lsusb | grep Realtek
that way, people who want to help you know what they are dealing with.
I am a noob too, so I'm familiar with the constructs.
The only advice I can give is to run updates in your package manager while plugged into a wire. That *should* check the state of your system against the most up-to-date version, and *might* automatically install the packages you need to use that device.

Hello btmiller, thank you for the reply but I did not said that I was using Backtrac that was from "sagy" he is someone else that is asking help for a problem with VMAWARE an Backtrac.
I will try to do what you tell me and then use the "make" for compile and install the driver, I will let you know if that works.
Thank you

I try with sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` linux-headers-generic, but it says that I already have those packages in the last version and I still Can not compile and Install the driver.
