How to close my LQ account
hi guys, anyone know how to close my Linux Questions Account?
Thanks Carlos |
I've been told it can't be done. You just have to do something like put a huge, nonsense password in and use a new one.

Well thats not very democratic! From a principles issue its very fascist-like. From a dataprotection perspective, its totally outrageous.
I dont think I want to be associated with undemocratic fascists! And theres' me thinking that Linux users are free-thinking individuals. Huh! Humbug! Even Microsoft has better policies than this. Linux Questions. the fascist forum. |
In EXTREME circumstances, on a per-case basis, a username can be changed. However it is extremely rare for this to happen, and requires communication with the site Admin, and a very good reason.
As for closing accounts, we don't do that. Simply stop using your account. There isn't any 'data' that requires protective measures or need be deleted. If you're concerned about any personal info you may have put in your profile, simple change or delete it. Then clear you LQ cookies from your browser (which gets done anyhow when you click 'log out' Sasha |
As is the case in fascist undeomcratic societies, it looks like I have no choice.
Goodbye, fascist questions. |
Why on earth would you think LQ was a democratic society? Have you not seen the moderators or read the rules? I suspect you came here simply to cause issues that do not exist. If this is in reaction to having your duplicate thread closed then perhaps we are better off without you.

Ridiculous!

Your post makes very little sense...if you don't want to be a member, don't. Not sure how that's fascist, but based on what you've posted, I'm sure it makes sense to you...somehow..... |
That was entertaining.......
