How to change the default index.html in Apache

I want to know how to change the default page in the Apache after finishing and configure it properly...

search the text config file for the work "index" it shold bring you to where the default is. If i remember correctly this is how i changed it. It also has an option if you want a .html .htm or .php and maybe some others.

There is a file called httpd.conf in the /etc/httpd/conf directory. Edit it where it says: Directory Index. You can set it up to anything you want. Even HelloThis_is_my_server.grfls, but what would that help you. Just an example
