how to change test sizze or character size in run level 3 in text mode?
 

hai everybody........

i am a newbie to linux and i installed my RHEL4 in my IBM laptop. My monitor is only 14 inches. so i wnat to reduce the character size. could anyone help me in to do this.i tried the following,

>vi grub.conf

and i added vga=0*318

>reboot

but i doesn't work. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

I have come across this before.

I am not aware that you can change the font size in runlevel 3. At runlevel 5 font servers are activated and you can change things then.

But I wait to be corrected.
