How to change keyboard to write in english on login screen

I just installed Ubuntu on a 16GB USB Flash to check it out and leave Windows for good.

It is working good last night until I changed the keyboard to Arabic then put it back to English.

Now I booted and found the keyboard is now Arabic! and I can't login :(

How can I change the keyboard's language??

Guys, I'm totally new to Linux, so will you help me in details even if it sounds obvious. (can you beleive I have a degree in Computer Science and never used Linux!!!!)

Thanks

In the login screen you should have the Options menu in the lower-left corner. You can choose language from there. If this doesn't work you can try to boot from a LiveCD (knoppix or the ubuntu liveCD itself), mount the root partition in read-write mode and change an entry in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Code:

Option          "XkbLayout"    "us"
or whatever the language should be.
