how to cause a program in kde to start up in a maximized window
 

In Windows, many programs would remember their previous configurations. For example, IE would start up in full screen mode if you had closed it in full screen mode. I'd like to make Konqueror do the same thing. How can I do this?

For file management in Konqueror - Settings - Save view profile - (checkbox) save window size in profile.
