As far as I know at this point you can not write to a NTFS Partition with linux. There are projects working on this but I am not sure of their progress. If anyone know this to be different, I would love to know more.

i have used 'captive NTFS' to read and write my XP partitions with success. i mount it as-needed from cli and then unmount it once i am finished with my saves so that everything is flushed/written to disk. you will need the windows ntfs.sys and another file or two that can be obtained from an XP install or SP. the documentation will tell you what is needed and even has a nice wizard to use to locate the files.

hope this helps
