I have downloaded several ISOs from different sites. The MD5 sums are 100% on each. I burn the iso to a CD-R using Nero and Alcohol 120%, data verfication turned on. Each one burns 100%
BUT
when I try to install from the CD I get data file corrupt in the same area or the same file each time. Could the ISO be bad? I have taken the same iso file from several different mirrors can they all be bad?
I have tried Debian and Mandrake.
Can anyone verfify a ISO image and its ability to install without problems and send/point me to the ISO used.
Also any ideas on the settings for a CD burner software to write the image. I have tried two different CD burners with the same result.
I assume you've tried multiple CDs?
Also, when you're burning regular data, does it work? IE - try to burn a few files to a CD and see if you can open them afterward.
