Question How to boot an efi file in a virtual machine?

Hello all, the problem is that I have an .efi file and I would want to boot it in a vm, if possible with qemu, a software that I am very used to, the problem is that I haven't found any information by researching it in the web so I don't know how to start, Are needed special packages? How is the process to boot a vm using a .efi file? Thanks in advance!!!
