Question How to block users to open a session?

Hi,

I am on a Mandriva One 2011 x86 with Apache/mySQL/PHP/proftpd and KDE as GUI. All on a virtual machine (virtualbox). The goal is to practise myself.

So I created some users and I want them not to be able to open a session on the system. Those users were created only for my FTP access (proftpd). Their home are here: /var/www/html/user1 /var/www/html/user2... They are chroot on their home, everything works.

So how can I block them everywhere? (Like at the KDE login screen)...
I want them to use my FTP access ONLY, that's it, and only be able to access their home (/var/www/html/userX).

Sorry for my bad english. :/
Thanks for the help!

Set their login in the /etc/passwd file to be "/sbin/nologin". That will do the trick.
