How to automatically prompt for LUKS password upon login, using Startup Applications
Hi there.
New install of Debian Stretch, new to GNU\Linux. I have a data drive that is encrypted using LUKS. I want to be prompted to enter the encryption password after I login. I want to accomplish this via the Startup Applications app (probably a "custom command"?) Also, if possible, I'd like to not have to enter my admin pwd AFTER I enter the encryption pwd. Thoughts/suggestions? |
anyone have any hints?

When the system tries to mount the partition, it will prompt for a password. So, you just have to put an entry in /etc/fstab.
