How to associate Kscd with particular drive?

When I installed SuSE 9.0 about 6 weeks ago, the audio player, kscd, seemed to have been automatically associated with the CD-R drive. However, yesterday, I installed a DVD-ROM drive also, and after a great deal of messing around, got it working for data (it will not work in DVD mode, and SuSE admits they don't support it) but the kscd player somehow got associated with the DVD drive in the process of getting it to run at all so it plays audio CD's, but in the process the CD-R can no longer play audio CD's. Now the question is, is there any way I can get kscd associated with the CD-R drive also, and if so how? How does one move it; ie., how does one get it associated with any particular drive?

Thank you.

Fairly straightforward - open KSCD and click the Configure button - hammer icon.
Click on the button for Cdrom Device. You then click on the file icon to navigate through /dev to find the device you want. It may well just be /dev/cdrom Try it and see. You'll eventually get the right device. (You can check in your /etc/fstab to see which device is which).

Well, you are right, it is /dev/cdrom, but I'll be darned if I can find it anywhere in /dev/ . . . It works OK on the DVD, altho it says "no freedb found" in the player window while it is running. However, when I try to run it in CD-R device, it wants me to fill in title of disk, artist, name of at least one track, and then it wants to classify this as to type of music, and when I do that it then wants to put all this info into a directory I have not created, and when it discovers that, it will not work; whereas with DVD other than the error about no freedb found, it just plays the selected track.

So it would appear that it is associated already with both drives, but I surely don't see how to do it, since neither is listed as CD-ROM; one is DVD and the other is CDrecorder under properties for the two when I click their icons.
