How to adjust Dialog Boxes in Zorin Installation

I am trying to install Zorin and the dialog boxes are too big for the screen. Is there an optimum resolution to set my screen to in Windows 7 (main OS)...or how can I change that within Zorin? Thanks.

The screen resolution is set by the OS - so if Windows 7 is set to a good resolution, then you should be able to configure Zorin to that same resolution and it will work nicely (if screen resolution is the issue here).

To change screen resolution temporarily, type:

$ xrandr
and you'll get output similar to:

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1366 x 768, maximum 8192 x 8192
LVDS1 connected 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 194mm
   1366x768       60.0*+   40.0
   1024x768       60.0
   800x600        60.3     56.2
   640x480        59.9
VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
then type

xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x768
Once you've found the right resolution, put the setting into your xorg.conf
