Question How To add Modules

Hey everyone
i was wondering if there was a way to add modules to a live cd?with out recompiling the ISO. I am currently using GoblinX 1.2. I belive there is a way to do this with the included live scripts. I just cant seem to get it working. Ive used addmodule, usemod, mo2dir. i get a prompt stating modules added, or modules dcompressed depending on what option i use, but then i cant find them or the modules arent actually loaded. if anyone could offere a walk through on this it would be much appreciated. I think GoblinX's mod system might be similar to slax. any info is appreciated. thanks in advance.

If you have a module that will work with the kernel you should be able to add it using modprobe.

man modprobe

Hi, some modules add an entry line in Xfce menu, but only there...
You can use modules while running the livecd with command uselivemod...
You can use liveupgrade command. Liveupgrade creates a new ISO image for you... and it can download modules and insert modules you have already downloaded... download your favorite modules, save them into a folder on a mounted partition, then start liveupgrade... when it asks about modules, choose the folder which has modules download for you...
