How to access a windows pc on a network?

I just want to transfer some movies and mp3's from my backup pc with windows xp, to my redhat fc1 linux pc. Any takers?

you need a samba server, there where the docs need to be copied to.
Try installing the samba (SMB) packages.

There is tons of info on the net about setting up samba, shich you are going to have to do... But, it is all confusing at best.

In fc1, I think if you look under system you will find the kde samba configurator (if you have installed samba and the configurator package). It is really the simplest way to get samba going.

hmm... On my mandrake all I did was install the samba packages and a samba browser for gnome ('cause I'm lazy) Didn't have to do any difficult configuring at all.
