Wink How store data on Knoppix ?

I read that Knoppix can store up to 2 GB of data. How do I save data files ? Also would like to know how to download and install files to Knoppix. Using Knoppix 5.1.

Is Knoppix installed to your hard disk---or are you running from live CD?

When running from live CD, you would have to specifically mount a device---eg a partition on the internal or external hard drive.

By "download and install files" do you mean applications? For that, use the package manager. (Running from liveCD, it does not make much sense to try and install extra applications.)

OK i think i now what you mean kinda.
if you running a live CD of knoppix 5.1 u can have 2gb of executable data installed why running the live cd session but when u turn off your computer u lose it all. to do this you don't need to save stuff in any particular way, just use it as if you normally would in any other OS

here is a link that might help
