KDE 5.9.4

How do I kill this widget permanently, forever, never to come back under any circumstances. It doesn't show on task bar so cannot be removed that way. Nothing in configuration menu seems to help. I haven't found anything for use on the terminal.

Everything I've found refer to taskbar options that don't exist, to icons that aren't there, configuration options that don't show anywhere, or suggest draconian measures such as replace the entire desktop environment.

Is there perhaps a config file or setting somewhere that can get rid of this pest?

In partial answer to my own question, I decided to at least move the widget to the bottom right corner of the screen. Then, viola, it reappeared on the task bar from which place it could be removed. However, I would still like to know how to prevent it reappearing.

You probably put it in the task bar, right click, and click remove.
