How free space on HD.

I have been using linux for 3 weeks. I am thinking about installing X and i would like to know if there is a command that tells you how much space is left on the hardrive. Slackware 9.1. If the file system matters i am using EXT3.

He is THINKING about installing X, meaning he doesn't have it installed yet...

For all of HD:

df -h

For single folder:

du -sh [FOLDERNAME]/

For all folders within current folder:

du -sh */

I assume you know the mechanics of "rm",
