Unhappy How, exactly, do I install programs to my Acer Aspire One netbook?

My Acer Aspire One runs on Linpus Linux Lite, and I performed some basic modifications (as outlined here: so that now I've got a little drop-down menu when I right-click on the desktop. That doesn't seem to have helped much... What I'd like is a BitTorrent client - any, really, as long as it's mildly functional. Can someone please help me to install one? I'm kind of stumped.

...If you got to this point:
then simply go to the search tab and search for bittorrent...
click apply... in sum cases you might need to restart or w/e... but um... it's cake...
lemmy know how it goes.

My choice with all those acer laptops with linpus always is that I reformat and install a regular opensuse to have full updates.
I did that before for laptops I got for others in earlier months and it all worked perfectly.
if ever you consider such, one step to do is to write down what wifi driver module - just in case.
I am sure this works with any other dist of YOUR choice that you are familiar with.

Here's a list of tweaks I found for Linpus that were pretty useful:

10 Tips that make Linpus act more like an XFCE distrobution:

Forum for Linux (mostly Linpus in the general forum):

A few people here have advocated for one distro or another, and there will be more. I use Easy Peasy Linux with the Kernel that Sickboy put out. Versus Linpus it provides a much better launcher and window manager, more software and the ability to do a couple things I couldn't manage in Linpus (connecting to VPNs). On the other hand, it takes twenty seconds more to boot, eats power faster and it was a bit of work.
