Unhappy How does RHEL ver 3 correspond to RedHat version 9 or 8.0 or 7.3 or 6.2

My company decided to use RedHat Enterprise Linux version 3 and I am the poor who has to get used to it.

The documentation to Enterprise Linux is very high level and management-like. So I think it's better to look at the documentation of the "normal" RedHat Linux.

At their web site there is lot of docs for Version 9, 8.0, 7.3, 7.2, 7.1, 7 and 6.2.

But how does that correspond to RHEL 3 ?

We actually use RedHat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 6), 2.4.21-37.ELsmp

To which version should I look at the docu pages?

RHEL 3 is based on RH 9.0, but I would suggest you to use the Documentation corresponding to the version you are using, RHEL and RH Linux are generally identical but may have subtle difference. RHEL have wider range of Documentation available from beginning to high level, you can choose the one best suited to your level and advanced step by step. RHEL from version 4 are based on Fedora Core, and latter don't have official documentation at all.
