how do you use RawWrite for windows?
 

I'm using a program by john newbegin called RawWrite for windows. I can put a floppy in the "a" drive, and hit "read", and it seems to read the disk and puts up a "save as..." screen, but I can't make it save to anywhere (the cd, for example). what am I doing wrong?

rawrite is used to write raw floppy image data to a floppy. I've never used it in reverse. you might try winimage to copy floppy images in windows. better use knoppix cd dd if=/dev/fd0 of=floppy.img. why do you want a floppy image on cd If you want to make a bootable cd look into nero or k3b in linux.

I dont know if winimage reads non msdos floppys but dd in linux works have used rawrite in a long time since my computer boots from cd.

turns out I WAS trying to use it backwards. I needed to hit read,set up a folder: it reads (sends) to my harddrive.
Hit Write, find that file, and it copies to the floppy. I was trying to make a more permanent copy with my CD-RW. I can simply drag those files from C: to D:
