how do you Launch an App at login

I'm switching from SCO 5.0.6. to SLES 11 SP3. When logging in to SCO, the .profile was used to make initial settings and to launch an application. How is it done in SLES?

Suse Linux installs admin and user documentation which you can find in /usr/share on your system. You can also access documentation at the Suse website.
