How do you install a scanner in redhat?

We are attempting to install a Genius ColorPage-SP scanner in RedHat 7.0, but so far, we've failed. Please help!

It looks like sane support the genius colorpage SP2 scanner. I am not sure how close that is to yours. lists the scanners support for the genius manufacturer. It might be agood idea to try installing sane and Xsane which is just the front end to sane. Sane has worked well for me with my scanner. It's HP but hopefully yours works as well.
