How do you add more Yum repositories?

Hey guys,

I'm a noob and need to learn how to add more repositories for yum because the default ones dont have any of the good stuff like Mplayer, Wine, or Cedega. I have been compiliing everything myself so far and god its hard stuff most of the times. Yum is cool but it does not have any of the good stuff because it has all the default repositories.

Can somebody walk a newbies through this step by step?

Thanks in advance!

Before you do anything else, go to the Unofficial Fedora FAQ and read what they have to say about yum. Then move on to Stanton Finley and read his yum section. If you still have questions after that go ahead and ask

An alternative way of getting the repos is to install yumex
yum install yumex
which will install a number of repos automatically and give you a gui interface to enable/disable repos install/update/uninstall apps and get info an all avialable apps + agreat search function.
