How do I use PAN for reading a newsgroup?

Hello-
I am using Gnome terminal.
I want to read a newsgroup and opened the PAN newsreader from Applications->Internet.
Once the application is opened, I do not know what to enter in the following two places.
Server Address
Port

This is where the website says to sign up:
Technical Support - news://news.cadsoft.de/eagle.support.eng
Thanks!

The server address is the IP of the news server you are using (where the information is coming from). The standard port for newservers is 119 but the server (source end) can specify virtually an port they wish.

How will I know what the IP is?
Thanks!

Thank you-
My issue is now that Pan doesn't connect.
I'm going to mess with it some more.
